Glenn: Hello everyone, and welcome!! It's almost time once again for our annual Summer Solstice Mystery Gift Exchange! As always, it will be held here at the Rollout Lodge, but anyone from the community is more than welcome!
Clove: Here's how it works: Everyone who wants to participate in the exchange should bring a gift. It doesn't have to be anything expensive or complicated. Just something nice that someone would like to receive. When you arrive, you'll be assigned 2 numbers. When the time comes, you match the first number to the person you'll be giving to, and the second number will be matched with the person you'll be receiving from. It's completely random so try not to bring anything specific to a certain species.
Ayanna: The event will be happening on the front lawn of the lodge, but Glenn’ll be makin’ his home cookin’ to be served in the dining hall as well. Everyone enjoy yerselves but try to keep the house and the grounds clean. And I don’t want anyone makin’ a fuss if they don’t like the gift they got. Let’s be mature and polite. I don’t want anyone behavin’ like children over this, y’hear?
Glenn: But have fun! Make new friends! Feel free to play games or sports! We’ll have chess and checkers set up on the porch, and croquet in the side yard. Anything else is up to you to come up with.
Ayanna: Just don’t get too rowdy.
Clove: Feel free to arrive in the afternoon whenever suits you, but keep in mind the exchanging will take place promptly at sunset, so if you want a gift don’t be later than that. I believe that’s all the important information. We look forward to seeing you all there.

Although in Parai it is the middle of summer, in our world this is a SECRET SANTA GIFT EXCHANGE!! If you want to participate, sign up by leaving a comment here filling out the form below.

Extra notes: (**if you want, you can list/link to other teams of yours here that the person can include, but please just choose one as your main)
To reiterate: YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE A MEMBER OF THE ROLLOUT LODGE GROUP TO PARTICIPATE!!!! THIS IS FOR EVERYONE IN PMDU TO TAKE PART IN if you want to.
If you’ve never participated in a secret santa before, here’s how it works: Everyone who signed up will get randomly assigned another person and you make them a gift of (art or writing). So you make something for someone, and you receive something from someone else, but it’s all secret. If everyone does their part, it means everyone should come away with a nice gift at the end!
In order to keep things simple, we’re going to keep writers and artists in two separate pools. If you make writing, you’ll receive writing. If you make art, you’ll receive art. I don’t want to exclude the writers, and this seems like the simplest, fairest way to do it.
The parallel event at the Lodge adds a fun little twist. If you choose, you can depict your assigned team receiving gifts from your own team, or you can just show them enjoying themselves at the party. If you want to make something Christmassy you’re certainly welcome to, but keep in mind it might not be canon since it’s summer in Parai currently. Basically, you can make whatever you want, the party at the Lodge just serves those who would prefer to have some context to work with. Keep in mind, the in-game gifts have nothing to do with the teams actual inventory, so make it something small and simple like a few berries or a coupon for a free hug or something.
I know the holidays are busy, but please if you sign up try to make something nice. I’m not going to legislate a certain required level of quality, but try to focus more on making something nice for someone else. Don’t just think of this as a way to get free art for yourself. Try to get to know the team you are assigned and make something that fits their personalities.
The signups will close on December 10th at noon EST and we’ll be sending out the assignments on December 10th between 5pm and 6pm EST. That gives you two full weeks to put together something nice. Just contact the person you were assigned on Christmas and send them their gifts. Distribution of gifts will not go through me.
Please try your best to have your gift ready by Christmas Day. PLEASE DO NOT JUST TAKE THE GIFT YOU WERE GIVEN AND VANISH INTO THE ABYSS! Doing this means some poor soul will be without a PMDU present on Christmas day. Don’t do that to someone, you monster. If you can’t get it done on time, at least send the person you were assigned a nice message on Christmas letting them know the gift is coming. If you know you’re going to be really busy and won’t have time to make anything, DON’T SIGN UP. Seriously, don’t be a douche.
We only have a short time to get everyone signed up, so any help spreading the word is greatly appreciated!!
Important dates:
Signups close -- December 10th at noon EST
Assignments given --December 10th between around 5pm and 6pm EST
Gifts Due-- December 24 or 25
If you have any questions or anything isn’t clear, don’t hesitate to ask me or , who is very kindly helping me put this together.

halloween gift exchange
Just a quick thing, would anyone be interested in participating in another mystery gift exchange for halloween? I'm happy to put it together, but I want to make sure not everyone is too busy with the cactus tasks.
Update and some info
Sorry I've been slow in making new refs for the place. I'm a lot busier now and I'm working during my free time on my Frosty Festivities entry. Not to mention my laptop is broken so if I want to draw I have to use school computers. All that to say, the promised references are still coming, it just might be a little while until I can get to them. Thanks for being so patient with me!
To tide everyone over, here's a bit of info I gave ~Sepia-Zorua (https://www.deviantart.com/sepia-zorua) as a response to some questions she very helpfully asked me.
---------
The common areas (dining room, "lobby," etc.) are on the first floor. Also on the first floor are rooms with water feature
Welcome everyone!
First of all, I want to thank you all so much. I held off on this idea for a while because I was afraid no one would be interested, and I'm so glad I went ahead with it because your response has been awesome! I have a lot of fun ideas for this group and I'm so excited to share them all with you in time :D
Because I've gotten a few people asking me about this, I want to make this really clear: Everyone is absolutely allowed and encouraged to include the Rollout Lodge and its NPCs in your personal stories and other content for PMDU! This applies to anyone, not just tenants. If you don't want your characters to live at the lodge but you still w
